Cheryl Booms
Cheryl Booms is the Director of the Sustaining Fund for The Saint Paul
Seminary School of Divinity in Saint Paul, MN. She served as a
missionary and team leader with NET Ministries and was a Development
Officer for NET for several years after graduating from Michigan State
University. Cheryl serves on the Board of Directors for Twin Cities TEC
and is an RCIA sponsor at her parish, the Cathedral of St. Paul.
Sister Mary Ann Foggin, SGL
Sr. Mary Ann has been a religious sister with the Servants of God's Love
in Ann Arbor, MI since 1998. Previously, Sr. Mary Ann lived in Atlanta,
Georgia, where she worked in advertising for fourteen years. As a Servant
of God's Love, she currently works for the Diocese of Lansing in Vocation
Services, working both to increase vocation awareness in Diocesan
Catholic Schools and working with young women who are discerning
religious life.
Deacon Dan Foley
Deacon Dan is a retired executive/lawyer and an ordained deacon,
serving at Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, MI. He serves on
the Board of Directors of a variety of local charities, including
Renewal Ministries, Emmanuel House and is spiritual advisor to the
Catholic Medical Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Lansing. He has served
on the Hope Clinic Board for many years and remains a member of the
Hope Way's & Means Committee and the Pastoral Advisory Board.
Thomas Mussio
Thomas Mussio is a small business owner, Ann Arbor All Trades. He has
been blissfully married 30 years to Julie, and has been blessed with
children Marie, Anthony and Christina. He is the chairperson to
Christmas in Action for Southeast Michigan and is active with St. Thomas
Catholic Church (Ann Arbor) and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
(Ypsilanti).
Dr. Janet E Smith
Dr. Janet Smith holds the Father Michael J McGivney Chair of Life Ethics
at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI. She serves as a Consultor
to the Pontifical Council for the Family. She authored Humanae Vitae: A
Generation Later and edited Why Humanae Vitae Was Right: A Reader. Dr
Smith is highly regarded as an authority on Humanae Vitae,
contraception, biomedical ethics, virtue ethics, and many other subjects.
Kevin Spizarny
Kevin is a Program Supervisor and Therapist for a private non-profit
agency where he works with Juvenile Offenders in Wayne County. Kevin
also volunteers at the Washtenaw Jail where he helps lead Catholic
Services for both male and female inmates. He also enjoys playing guitar
and singing as he cantors at St. John the Baptist Parish and has lead the
music for Generation Christ since its inception.
