A Mission of St. John the Baptist Parish 411 FLorence St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 |
The mission of Catholic Urban Project is to engage young adults in the radical call of the Gospel and, through their work, to serve the poor and isolated members of our urban communities. This mission is rooted in the mission of the Church, as articulated in its Catholic Social Teaching. It isn’t new. It isn’t just for a few select people - quite the opposite, actually. There’s a long tradition of writings and teachings that invites every baptized person to live their faith through acts of service and the pursuit of justice. We invite you to learn more about the call to service and justice and to allow this call to transform your life. |

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. . . liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free..." (Lk 4:18) |
